Today, as I sit by the window listening to the rain softly fall, the fresh scent of a new beginning fills the air. With my Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in hand, I pause to breathe and soak in the stillness—just me, the sound of the rain, and the small still voice of God whispering, “Keep going, daughter. Don’t give up.”
As a divorced single mom, raising my boys and starting my business from scratch, some days feel overwhelming. The bills are behind. The budget is tight. I wonder how I’ll make it all work. But in the midst of the worry, I choose to believe what the Word says:
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 (CSB)
I hold on to this promise with everything I’ve got.
I’m not just building a business—I’m building a legacy for my children. They call me “the best mom ever,” and the neighborhood kids do too. That alone reminds me that I’m doing something right. That God sees me. That He’s walking with me in every step of this journey.
I’m learning to lean on God not just as my Savior, but as my Provider… and even as my Husband, like Ruth waiting on her kinsman-redeemer. This season may feel uncertain, but I know who holds my future.
So today, in the quiet of the rain, I’m reminded that peace doesn’t come from everything being perfect—it comes from trusting the One who is.
To every other mama out there walking this path—know that you're not alone. Keep doing your best. Rest when you need to. Work when you can. Listen to His voice and stay faithful to your calling.
He will provide. He always does. 💗
