“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7
Being a single mom isn’t easy. Some days you feel like you’re doing everything alone—but the truth is, we’re never really alone. God sees every tear, hears every prayer, and walks beside us in every struggle.
This week, I was reminded again just how real and faithful God is. My 11-year-old son and I had planned a road trip—just the two of us—to St. Louis. A chance to camp, learn about Lewis & Clark, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation together. But with only $5 in my checking account and a quarter tank of gas, our trip came to a hard stop.
I didn’t want to ask anyone for help. I felt embarrassed, stuck between “I got this” and “I need help.” But then I remembered the Word:
“You have not because you ask not” (James 4:2).
And Jesus Himself said to ask. So, I did. I asked God to make a way—and He did, not just through provision, but through peace. I was reminded that my worth isn’t in what I can provide, but in who I belong to.
If you’re a single mom reading this, I want you to know:
✅ It’s okay to ask for help.
âś… You are doing a holy, hard, and beautiful work.
✅ God sees your faithfulness—and He’s not done with your story.
Whether you're trusting God for gas, groceries, or just the strength to keep going today, know this: He is your Provider. Not people. Not a pay check. Not your own hustle. Just Him. And He is always enough.
So today, don’t be afraid to pray boldly. Ask your Heavenly Father for what you need—and trust Him to show up, even when it doesn’t look how you expected.
With love and faith,
