Starting a business—especially as a single mom with a heart for faith—is a walk of courage, surrender, and constant learning. And sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you mess up.
Maybe you shipped the wrong item.
Maybe you forgot a message.
Maybe there was a typo in your digital product or you overshared on a live video.
And in that moment, the enemy will whisper, “You’re not cut out for this.”
But he is a liar.
Because here’s the truth: God doesn’t call the qualified—He qualifies the called.
Mistakes don’t mean you’ve failed. They mean you’re growing.
As a new business owner, especially one wearing so many hats—mom, reseller, creator, coach—it’s natural to feel overwhelmed. The learning curve is steep, and the pressure to “get it right” all the time is real. But sis, let me remind you:
God is not asking for perfection. He’s asking for partnership.
🌱 Give Your Business to God
One of the biggest game-changers in my journey was when I prayed this prayer:
“Lord, I surrender this business to You. You are the CEO. I am just Your hands and feet. Lead me. Teach me. Grow me. Use me.”
From that moment on, every mistake became a lesson. Every refund became a reminder that I have integrity. Every typo became proof that I’m doing this scared, but I’m doing it with God.
💡 Encouragement for Today
If you’ve made a mistake in your business today, take a breath. Pray. Apologize if needed. Learn from it. Then get back up.
Your worth is not based on a missed sale or a broken link.
Your value isn’t defined by your revenue.
You are a daughter of the King, doing Kingdom work in the marketplace.
📖 Bible Verse to Hold On To:
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
👑 You’ve Got This, Sis. Because God’s Got You.
Whether you’re sending out sticker bundles, organizing your first Shopify store, or showing up tired after a long homeschool day—keep going. Make God your CEO. Let Him mold you, lead you, and bless the work of your hands.
You are not failing.
You are becoming.
