There are days when I look at my bank account and wonder how everything will work out.
As a divorced single mom, I know what it feels like to stretch every dollar, work hard, care for others, and wonder if I'm doing enough. There are moments when life feels heavy. Caring for my family, helping my parents, trying to build a business, working when I can, and trusting God one day at a time isn't always easy.
But today, instead of focusing on what I don't have, I'm choosing to thank God for what He has already given me.
He has given me another day to wake up.
He has given me the ability to work.
He has given me hands that can serve others.
He has given me experiences—even the painful ones—that have shaped who I am today.
Would I choose every hardship again? Probably not.
But I also know that God wastes nothing.
Every closed door...
Every disappointment...
Every difficult decision...
Every season of waiting...
He has used them to teach me to depend on Him instead of myself.
I don't regret standing on God's Word.
I don't regret choosing forgiveness over bitterness.
I don't regret seeking His wisdom instead of the approval of people.
Other people have made decisions that changed the course of my life. Divorce wasn't the future I imagined. Some circumstances were outside of my control. Yet none of those things surprised God.
My story didn't fall apart.
It simply became part of His greater plan.
Today I choose to stand firm.
Not because life is easy.
Not because every prayer has already been answered.
But because my foundation is built on Jesus Christ.
Every morning I have another opportunity to put on the full armor of God—to fasten the belt of truth, guard my heart with righteousness, walk in the peace of the gospel, lift the shield of faith, protect my mind with salvation, and hold tightly to the sword of the Spirit, which is God's Word.
The world may see someone who is struggling financially.
God sees His daughter growing stronger in faith.
The world may see someone who has been through divorce.
God sees someone He has never abandoned.
The world may see someone trying to build a small business.
God sees someone faithfully using the gifts He has provided.
I don't know exactly what tomorrow holds.
But I know who holds tomorrow.
So I'll keep working.
I'll keep serving.
I'll keep praying.
I'll keep trusting.
And I'll keep thanking God for every blessing He has already placed in my life.
Because true wealth isn't measured by what's in a bank account.
It's measured by walking closely with the One who never leaves us.

Prayer
Father,
Thank You for every blessing You have placed in my life, even the ones I sometimes overlook. Thank You for giving me the strength to keep moving forward when life feels difficult. Help me to remain faithful, to work diligently, and to trust Your timing. Guard my heart from discouragement and remind me daily that my identity is found in You—not in my circumstances. Help me to stand firm in the full armor of God and follow the path You have prepared for me. I place my future, my family, my work, and my dreams into Your hands.
