Sunday Stillness: Resting in God's Word and Trusting His Timing

Sunday Stillness: Resting in God's Word and Trusting His Timing

Today, I took a deep breath and let the world slow down. Just me, the Word of God, a warm cup of coffee, and the stillness of a lake. There’s something about quiet moments in nature that reminds me I’m not alone—God is always near.

As a Christian single mom, some days feel heavy. The dreams I have, like taking my boys on a road trip full of memories, feel just out of reach. But today, I’m choosing faith. I’m praying bold prayers and trusting that God sees our hearts and our needs.

It’s not easy doing this alone—but I know I’m not doing it alone. God is with me in every step, every plan, every unseen need. And so today, I rest. I read His promises, I breathe in the peace only He gives, and I wait with hope.

Whatever you’re holding in your heart today, know that God hears you too.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

With love and faith,
